What Is Matter

On Monday my literacy teacher Mr Wiseman gave my reading group a task.The task was about solid,liquid and gas.Mr Wiseman gave us a padlet to work on.We had to find information in the book ab out what is matter.What I found from the book was matter can be anything that's alive.

The Case Of The Phantom Tagger

In reading my techer Mr Wiseman gave us a task to work on.This task he gave us is was called the case of the phantom tagger .It was a really cool task that he gave us it was so hard at the end.

Solid state physics experiment

• Aim :
• was to make crystals  
• Materials:
•  1 cup of water, 3 cups of sugar/salt, a teaspoon, a saucepan, food coloring, a clean jar, a piece of cotton string, a pencil, a paper clip,tin foil.
• Procedure:

Boil the water. Slowly stir the sugar into the water, until the sugar is dissolved. Put the food coloring into the water and pour into the jar. Tie the string onto the pencil and tie                                   the paper clip to the other end of the string. Put the pencil across the top of the jar. Put                                 the jar in a safe place and cover it with tin foil. 

            Observation :

                               We watched the crystals form on the string for two weeks. My jar formed crystals first                                   as it was made with sugar. 

          

             Conclusion:

                                It was fun making crystals. Our experiment was a success because crystals formed on                                   my string.

Croos Country Run

Cross Country Run

Today was the day that I felt the earth was burning and I felt like I was melting into human liquid. It was our school cross country run. I felt like a bull getting ready to fight a dog and my cheeks were on fire and my heart was pounding inside my body. I was so exasperated.

I was near the finishing line, when I heard the whole school yelling their lungs out. The crowd went wild like a bunch of monkeys fighting over the last banana. As I crossed the finishing line, I was relieved of such tiredness. After I finish I was so proud of myself and so happy that I tried my best in the Cross Country Race.

The BFG movie

Last term Room 1 were reading a book called The BFG by Roald Dahl. Mr Wiseman was reading it to us and it was a really cool book. Yesterday Mr Wiseman took us to the movies to watch The BFG.  When we got there we had to wait outside in the cold.After that we went inside and watched the movie. In the movie there was a lot of difference between the movie and the book. Some of the various were how they drop the giants in the sea but in the book it said  they dropped the giants in the hole back in England.

My favorite character was the BFG. His personality was kind, caring, loving, risky and helpful. He could camouflage like street lights, trees and construction stuff on the back of a truck. He liked to eat snozzcumber and it was a green looking cucumber. He was the best and took risks at his own hands. All of his risk taking was all for Sophie. She  as the little girl that went to giant country.

My favorite part is how The BFG and Sophie went to the Queen and ask for help. To take the other giants form giant country. Because they were bad giants and there were so mean to the BFG because he was the only giant who was so nice, caring,risky and helpful. That was my favorite part because it was so sad and careful.

Muscle fatigue

Today in class we were lreaing about muscle fatigue and how we can beat muscle fatigue how can we beat mucle fatigue we can beat muscle fatigue by exercising drinking lots of water and we need oxygen.

Golden Cage

Today in reading my book was about the golden cage the charters were the king the woman and the dress makers. In the story the king woke up he saw this woman  out in the grass the king told her to come inside the palace to become a queen . Then the queen was angry that she heard something about the village. This task is about the golden cage and the Challenge the challenge was about how many words can you make with the letters from the word Golden there is an example on the picture.

Today Room5 went to Mr Wisemans class and we made wool and nail art it was so fun my buddy was taiaha it was cool working together this class is fun and awesome.

Camping

On  one fine afternoon there were  two brave  men who went camping there names were Lex & Mike they were best friends at high school and then they graduated.

15 years later Lex and Mike went camping up in the   woods Lex was in the car with jumbo the dog and with his things he needed to take. When Mike was ready he got into the car and told Lex let’s go to the  woods.

The place that we were going to is called grove woods when we  got there Lex was getting fire wood and i was getting the tent ready. When the night had come we made a fire to cook marshmallows then we started to sing camping songs then we got sleepy we went into the tent and slept.

6.00 in the morning Mike woke up and went and had number 1 when he came back into the tent lex was gone mike was shouting lex is name lex Lex LEX there was no response of lex then Mike heard something in the bushes it jumped out it was a jumbo after that jumbo and mike went to find lex when they were walking jumbo was sniffing lex is sent then jumbo found something it was lex is jumper. They kept walking it was 7.10am jumbo and mike is still walking a few hours later they had found lex lying on the ground near the leak  sleeping when he woke up we went for a walk talking what happen to him lex said he was sleepwalking then he said he knockout from somebubby mike said did you see this person knock you out then lex said no when they got back to their campsite lex said are we gonna be ok mike said yes we packed your staff they hopped in the car then they notice jumbo wasn't there mike and lex went out to  find jumbo then mike heard jumbo barking when we got to jumbo he was barking to this man then  mike asked him some question did you knock out some bobby last night then he said yes he was sleepwalking  lex ran away lex was so scared mike had told jumbo to go back to the car lex was in the car as well  mike was fighting the man who knockout lex

Last night mike had got punched in the face he was knockout to lex was waiting for mike to come back then lex hopped out of the car with jumbo and went back when they got there lex saw mike lying on the ground then the man got out his knife when lex saw the knife lex  jumped and save mike from getting stabbed then mike had killed the man who tried to kill him

When he got up he saw lex lying on the fallo with blood mike had put lex in the car they hurried to the hospital when they got there they took him somewhere after that  mike was waiting for 5 hours then the doctor came and said i am really sorry mike lex is gone mike and jumbo went into the car and dove back home. 10 days later mike went to lex is furnal.
